Supported by Drew, Benny & Mapes. “The Mean St Butchers have a real dirty slide guitar tone. The sort of grit that isn’t often heard in a deep narrative song…… I think you’re gonna like the stomp these guys have. It’s got a bit of force behind it!”

About The Event
Combining sideways rock and psychedelic blues, Nick Carver & the Mean Street Butchers unleashed the beast with their sophomore album ‘ANIMALS’ in July 2022. With outlandish singer-guitarist Nick Carver leading the charge, the local Gippsland outfit showcased the album at festivals such as Arockalypse Now, Inward Goods, Live at the Park and NYE on the Hill. In July of 2023, the band returned with new single, I NEED TO FEEL, a dank snappy number with lo fi sabbath esque riffs and sexy interplay between the vocals. In September, the band released another single, SMOKE ALONE. Recorded 100% live at the Aviary Studios in Melbourne with no overdubs, the energy of four musicians in a rooming vibing has been captured, along with an accompanying video capturing the performance. Lyrically, the song laments those early mornings where we do things we shouldn’t, with people that we shouldn’t. Musically, the band has binged on mellow NIRVANA and BLACK REBEL MOTORCYCLE CLUB, while bringing back an even crustier twang to showcase the bands new found heavier edge against a well known backdrop of alt country and blues.
Local musicians Drew Cassidy with Benny and Mapes will support and blow your socks off!
